LVMSBL Iron Pigs to call Fullerton their home and have begun $8,000 in field renovations committed in 2014.
The Lehigh Valley MSBL Iron Pigs will call Fullerton Memorial Park in Whitehall Township their home in 2014 and hopefully the future. With some many field scheduling issues, the Pigs have been searching for a long term place to call home. They believe they have found that new home in Whitehall Township. Fullerton Memorial Park currently hosts an array of youth sports but primarily Legion and Connie Mack baseball utilizes the large field. The addition of the LVMSBL Iron Pigs will not interfere with those leagues and the resources the team can bring to improving the facilities will be enjoyed by all those that play there. Samuel Saylor the teams Manager/Coach said " We are happy to find a home where we feel welcomed and wanted. We have been looking for that place the past 2 years. We are happy and excited Fullerton Memorial and Whitehall Township have accepted us and made us feel right at home." The team has committed to improving field drainage and repairing the ailing lights in 2014 with a commitment to continued improvement for years to come of not only the large field ball all fields and amenities at the park.
Samuel Saylor would like to thank all those that helped especially including members of the Fullerton Memorial Park Association and to our sponsor's that donated money, materials, and labor as well in making these improvements. In 2014 the team has committed to installing 2 drainage trenches to improve water dispersion, added 24 tons of infield clay mix, cut in official infield dimensions and cleaned up grass lines, infield tarps for the pitching mound and home plate and repair the ailing stadium lights.
Thank You to our sponsors that helped make this happen and your support, Custom Contractors, The Brickman Group, Victory Gardens, Simon Property Group.
